NOW CRACKS A NOBLE HEART. GOOD-NIGHT, SWEET PRINCE; AND FLIGHTS OF ANGELS SING THEE TO THY REST".
This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Jordan Held who was born in Missouri on March 29, 1989 and passed away on September 17, 2006 at the age of 17. We will remember him forever. Jordan is survived by his mother Donna Kincaid, stepfather Bill Kincaid, Father Ken Voorhees, Brother Grant, Aunt Dee (Deborah) and Uncle Joe, Aunt Susan and Uncle John, Grandma and Grandpa Sutton, Grandma and Grandpa Ladd, Grandma Kincaid , and many, many family members and friends. Jordan was preceeded in death by his great-grandma Cathrine Sutton and his Grandpa Bill who passed just three weeks prior to Jordan. As the papers say "He had a thousand brothers". Jordan brought great joy to all those he came in contact with. His friends nicknamed him "Smiley" as he constantly had a smile on his face. Everyone loved Jordan, more than we ever knew, which became evident through all the kind and wonderful things people did for and said about him after his passing. At his memorial service there were so many kids there we were amazed, not to mention family members and friends of the family, teachers, etc, who had the honor to know Jordan. His service was standing room only, I've never seen so many broken hearts. He touched everyone he met in some way, with his kindness, respect and love and devotion he lavashed on all he knew. He never hesitated to tell you he loved you or how much you meant to him. He was funny, clever and a big goof. His favorite thing in the world was skateboarding. When he was in eighth grade he wrote an autobiograpy in which he stated that he wanted to become a professional skateboarder, live on the beach in a mansion, have a supermodel wife, and drive a gold plated Lambragini. In realty he wanted to be an electrician just like his Uncle Joe, who was the closest thing to a father he ever had. They're birthdays were a day apart so Uncle Joe got to celebrate his birthday at Chuckie Cheeses quite often. They were the very best of buds. His family meant everything to him, even if he wouldn't admit it, it was always quite obvious. He was always in a good mood and was so polite to everyone. He was so very handsome, just under six feet tall, and gave the best hugs!! He loved kids and was so compasionate when it came to the elderly. He always made sure that he spent time with his grandmas when they were ill, just sitting and talking with them and always making sure to ask if they needed anything. After his passing we found out he was helping an elderly lady who lived alone by mowing her lawn and whatever else she needed without pay. He did it out of the goodness of his heart, he did not do it for the praise, etc., but just because. Jordan loved the water and always wanted to live on or by the ocean somewhere. His last summer with us he became quite the kneeboarder. He loved his family and friends dearly and in return he was and always will be loved and never be forgotten. One of his teachers wrote in an article after his passing that he was an exceptional young man and he should NEVER be forgotten. He won't be! The site of his accident has turned into a memorial shrine for our Jordan, things being added constantly, letters, angels, flowers, etc., which is a testament to how much he meant to not only his family but also his friends. Our love for and memories of Jordan will never falter. He's probably looking down upon us thinking "Whoa dude, I knew I was cool but this is awsome! Loving you always baby, from everyone who ever knew you.
IF TEARS COULD BUILD A STAIRWAY, AND MEMORIES A LANE, I'D WALK RIGHT UP TO HEAVEN AND BRING YOU HOME AGAIN. (Jordan's moms favorite)
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, BUT by the moments that take our breath away.
Anything in life we don't accept will simply make trouble for us until we make peace with it. -Shakti Gavain
I am including the following link to a web site called "It Won't Happen To Me, Inc. This is a Non-Profit Organization that helps to get everyone involved in teaching teens safe driving and getting parents involved in the safe driving awareness as well. It puts out a booklet each year with teens who have passed do to this unfortunate silent tradedy that occurs across our crountry every day. It is the number one killer of our teens. Please vist this site as I believe it to be an important reminder of safe driving and our involvment as parent's to teach our teens the importance of safe drinving. Loved "I loved the boy with the utmost love of which my soul is capable of and he is taken from me.............yet in the agony of my spirit in surrendering such a treasure, I feel a thousand times richer that if I had never posessed it!!

Some Meaningful Sayings Gone Yet not forgotten, Although we are apart, Your spirit lives within me, Forever in my heart.
The Lord said, "I love you, and I would never leave you. When you saw only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.
I am not gone. MY soul lives on, but in a better place. Surrounded by the light of God in all his glory and grace.
Death leaves a heartache No one can heal. Love leaves a memory No one can steal.
If Butterflies could fly to Heaven, They would bring my Love to You And Yours right back to Me.
You left and forgot to tell my heart how to live without you. |

IN REMEMBRANCE Even as the sun goes down To end the light of day
It's rising on a new Horizon Somewhere far away
And though our world seems darker For the loss of the one we miss
We know our loved one's life has dawned In a brighter world than this. |

Newest Angel The heavens today are rejoicing, the angels sing out loud. They have a new addition, someone who made everyone so proud.
With his gentle, sweet spirit, and a smile to soothe pain, the sting of sorrow you feel, is Heaven's lucky gain.
Lifted by our savior's hands and placed into everlasting love, He knew he had another job to do, so now he'll protect you from above.
Adored by so many undoubtedly loved by all, He is the newest angel, delicate wings adorn him; there he stands tall.
So when the hurt is to much, and you feel you cannot bear, Remember, he knows the secret of heaven, and he's waiting for you there. |
